The simple design of the OPEN RACK provides the strength and functionality needed for both work and play. The BACKRACK™ OPEN Headache Rack offers maximum visibility and makes it easy to secure cargo with bungee cords or ratchet straps. Reinforced steel construction ensures the strength and structural rigidity demanded from a headache rack, and a protective layer of black powder coat resists scratches, chips, and corrosion. Multiple light mounting brackets are also available (sold separately) so your BACKRACK can illuminate the jobsite or the campsite. It fits various truck models, including 2017-2020 Ford F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550; 1975-2003 Ford F-150; 2001-2023 Chevrolet/GMC Silverado/Sierra 2500/3500 HD; 2002-2023 Dodge RAM 1500/2500/3500; 2019-2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Classic.

The simple and open design of the Open Rack makes securing cargo easy, allowing you to stow a ladder or long pieces of lumber between the uprights and secure them with the knowledge that your rear window and cab are protected.

Most BACKRACK models are fully compatible with select Tonneau Covers, so you don't have to choose between a truck rack and a Tonneau Cover. The installation is also easy, and you can complete the job yourself with the appropriate Installation Hardware Kit (sold separately). Standard and Toolbox Hardware Kits are no-drill on most late model full-size trucks, while Low Profile Hardware Kits require minimal drilling.
